  • 1/2 cup yogurt

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, ginger, and slit green chilies, then cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the chicken pieces, cooking them until they’re no longer pink.
  5. Mix in the turmeric, cumin, and salt, ensuring that the chicken is well-coated.
  6. Add the yogurt and stir well, cooking for a few more minutes to meld the flavors.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and let the curry simmer until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  8. Finally, sprinkle with garam masala and cook for another minute.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the yogurt with coconut cream for a dairy-free version or add vegetables like bell peppers for extra color and nutrition.
