Creamy Cafeteria Noodles

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian (if adapted)

Description

A nostalgic and comforting dish reminiscent of classic school lunches, made with egg noodles, creamy soup, and simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions in the chicken broth until tender.
  2. Drain the noodles, ensuring to reserve some of the broth.
  3. In a large pot, mix together the cooked noodles, cream of chicken soup, and butter.
  4. If the mixture seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved broth until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Stir everything well and heat through before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the cream of chicken soup with a vegetable alternative and use vegetable broth instead.
