Description

Creamy Beef Pasta is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that is rich, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying, perfect for busy evenings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving one cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Brown the beef for about 7 minutes, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
  5. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well-combined.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce in the skillet, gently coating the pasta.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

You can substitute penne with other pasta shapes like rotini or fusilli. For extra flavor, consider using grass-fed beef or adding red pepper flakes.
