Description
Creamy Beef Pasta is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that is rich, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying, perfect for busy evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving one cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Brown the beef for about 7 minutes, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well-combined.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce in the skillet, gently coating the pasta.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
You can substitute penne with other pasta shapes like rotini or fusilli. For extra flavor, consider using grass-fed beef or adding red pepper flakes.
