  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A delightful blend of sweet apples and tart cranberries topped with a buttery, crumbly oat mixture, perfect for cozy gatherings and holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the cranberries and sliced apples with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a large bowl and transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Evenly spread the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving, best enjoyed warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half of the butter with applesauce or use coconut oil instead of unsalted butter. The best apples to use are a mix of sweet and tart varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
