Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss the cranberries and sliced apples with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a large bowl and transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
- Evenly spread the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, best enjoyed warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half of the butter with applesauce or use coconut oil instead of unsalted butter. The best apples to use are a mix of sweet and tart varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
