Description
A decadent dish combining succulent steak, cheese tortellini, and a rich creamy sauce for an indulgent meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt and black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini in a pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove from heat, let rest, and slice into strips.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring continuously.
- Gradually add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Add the cooked tortellini and steak strips into the cream sauce, tossing gently until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the steak before searing. Serve with a crisp salad or garlic bread.
