Description

These Crack Green Beans combine tender green beans, crumbled bacon, and a sweet and savory sauce, making it a crowd-pleasing side dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Once done, drain on paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Place the drained green beans into the prepared baking dish and pour the sauce mixture over them, tossing to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the sauce. You can also use turkey bacon to lighten the dish.
