A delightful and decadent side dish that elevates canned green beans with crispy bacon, a sweet and savory sauce, baked until bubbly.

- 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble into pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- In the prepared baking dish, place the drained green beans and pour the sauce mixture evenly over them, tossing to coat.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute turkey bacon or omit bacon for a vegetarian version. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
