Description

A comforting dish combining creamy cheese, tender chicken, and crispy bacon with penne pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to package instructions (9-11 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the diced chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and chicken broth to the chicken, stirring until smooth.
  5. Combine cooked penne with the sauce, mixing well to coat.
  6. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Stir in chopped bacon.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with green onions.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add more cream cheese or chicken broth. Customize by adding vegetables or trying different cheeses.
