Description
Crispy bite-sized treats that capture the essence of traditional crab rangoon with lump crab meat and cream cheese filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 green onions (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place about one tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water to seal.
- Fold the wrapper over diagonally to form a triangle, pressing to seal tightly.
- In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the bombs in batches, about 3-4 at a time, until golden brown and crispy—around 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Notes
Serve with a tangy sweet and sour dipping sauce or homemade chili garlic sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze un-fried bombs for up to a month.
