Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • A pinch of sugar (optional)
  • Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Set aside.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
