- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- A pinch of sugar (optional)
- Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Set aside.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional sugar. Add the drained green beans to the skillet.
- Toss the beans in the buttery mixture until well-coated. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!
