- 4 large egg whites
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sweetener
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp cream of tartar
- 1–2 drops gel food coloring (pink, blue, yellow, green)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk the softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of sweetener, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add remaining sweetener until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the egg whites in two additions.
- Divide the batter into small bowls and add food coloring, gently folding to combine.
- Dollop spoonfuls of the colored batter onto the prepared baking sheet in a loaf shape, creating swirls.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool completely on the baking sheet before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve with butter, cream cheese, or as a base for savory fillings. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
