Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 10 minutes to absorb moisture.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, salt, pepper, and beaten egg.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until just combined; don’t overmix to keep them tender.
  5. Form the mixture into meatballs, ideally about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and beautifully browned.
