Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary)
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil; stir until everything is combined and no dry flour remains.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Let sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  4. Once the dough has risen and is bubbly, pour it onto a well-oiled baking sheet. Gently stretch it out to fit the sheet.
  5. Use your fingers to dimple the surface of the dough, creating little pockets for olive oil and salt.
  6. Sprinkle fresh herbs and sea salt over the top.
  7. Allow it to rise for another 20-30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in sundried tomatoes, olives, or garlic into the dough.
