Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together sugar, cocoa powder, milk, butter, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture comes to a rolling boil. Once it boils, cook for exactly 1 minute without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract followed by the oats until well combined.
  4. Using a spoon, drop small mounds of the mixture onto a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper.
  5. Allow the cookies to cool completely until set before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, refrigerate for two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
