Description
A nostalgic no-bake dessert that layers smooth cream cheese, a crunchy graham cracker crust, and tart cherry filling for a crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 7 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 9 whole crackers)
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip
- 1 can cherry pie filling (21 ounces)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (if you prefer a warm crust).
- In a mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter and combine it with graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Mix well to create a crumbly texture.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a dish to form your crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the Cool Whip gently to maintain its fluffy texture.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling, spreading it gently across the cream layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving so the layers set nicely.
Notes
For a fresher taste, you can substitute Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
