Description
Delightful cinnamon sugar biscuit bites, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar (plus extra for coating)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup sugar until well-combined.
- Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined—don’t overmix!
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut it into small bites (about 1-inch squares).
- Place the biscuit bites on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar with the ground cinnamon.
- Once the biscuit bites are done, brush them with melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat fully.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
