Description
A delightful dessert combining the flaky goodness of churros with rich cheesecake, topped with cinnamon sugar for an indulgent treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for the crust)
- Two 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough or sheets
- 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (for the filling)
- 1 large egg
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by lightly greasing it.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Set it aside; this will be the topping.
- Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it into the prepared dish, pressing it to cover the bottom and sides, ensuring there are no gaps.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, ¾ cup sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer, ensuring it’s well-distributed.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the cream cheese layer for added flavor.
- Drape the remaining crescent roll dough over the cream cheese filling, pinching the seams together to avoid leakage during baking.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top layer of dough, followed by the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool for a bit before slicing, and serve warm or chilled.
Notes
Serve with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. For an extra kick, top with whipped cream or crushed nuts.
