Instructions

  3. Gently fold in the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until just combined.
  4. Use a spoon or piping bag to drop the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  5. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the cookies are dry and crisp on the outside.
  6. Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside with the door slightly ajar.
