- 2 large egg whites
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy.
- Add cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips gently.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the cookies sit inside for at least another hour.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
Notes
