Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A quick and indulgent meal featuring creamy cheese and garlic, perfect for any busy night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
  3. Lower the heat and mix in the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella. Stir until cheeses melt and form a creamy sauce, adding reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, ensuring it’s well coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Plate your pasta and garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

For different flavors, feel free to swap cheeses or add proteins like chicken and shrimp.
