- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated works best)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add flour, salt, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, and pepper to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough starts forming.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down and spread it onto a baking sheet. Use your fingers to create dimples all over the surface.
- Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, and add extra garlic if you’d like.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
