Description

A creamy and delicious appetizer that combines fresh tomatoes, basil, and cheeses, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced fresh tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Layer the tomato mixture in a baking dish, followed by the cheese mixture on top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving warm with crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

For a festive touch, drizzle a little balsamic reduction over the top just before serving.
