Description
This one-pot Cajun sausage pasta combines spicy sausage and a creamy sauce for a comforting meal ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces of pasta (penne or your choice)
- 1 pound of Cajun sausage (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning and cook for an additional minute to release the aromas.
- Add the pasta along with 2 cups of water, and bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer until the pasta is cooked (about 10-12 minutes).
- Stir in the heavy cream and cheese, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Try using different sausages or adding extra vegetables for a twist. This dish is also great for meal prep!
