Description

Savory burger bowls with crispy potato chips, seasoned beef, and fresh toppings for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 23 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Cheese (dairy-free or regular)
  • Pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice (from the jar of pickles)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (for the sauce)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (for the sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and black pepper. Set this aside.
  2. Wash and cut the potatoes into chip shapes. Pat them dry and toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the spice mix.
  3. Spread the potato chips on a baking tray and bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or air fry for about 20 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  4. While the chips are cooking, heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the beef mince, breaking it apart and browning it. Sprinkle in the remaining spice mix and cook until the meat darkens.
  5. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika for the sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Divide the cooked potato chips among bowls, fill with shredded lettuce, add the cooked beef mince, cheese, and pickle slices. Drizzle with the burger sauce before serving.

Notes

Try experimenting with different types of cheeses or swapping beef for turkey or plant-based options.
