- 1 package Little Smokies
- 1 package regular-cut bacon (cut in half)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Cut each bacon strip in half.
- Wrap each Little Smokie with a half-slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place brown sugar in a zip-top bag, add the wrapped smokies, and shake to coat.
- Lay the coated smokies on the baking sheet in a single layer.
- Sprinkle any remaining brown sugar over the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar has caramelized.
- Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with toothpicks, mustard or barbecue sauce for dipping, and consider pairing with veggies or a cheese platter.
