Description

Delightful bites of mini smoked sausages wrapped in crispy bacon and coated in caramelized brown sugar, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Little Smokies
  • 1 package regular-cut bacon, cut in half
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • Black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Cut bacon slices in half.
  3. Wrap each Little Smokie with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place brown sugar in a zip-top bag and add the wrapped smokies; shake to coat.
  5. Arrange the coated smokies on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle leftover brown sugar and black pepper on top.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until bacon is crispy and sugar is caramelized.
  8. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
