- 1 package regular-cut bacon (cut in half)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Black pepper (optional, for an extra kick)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Cut your bacon slices in half.
- Wrap each Little Smokie with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
- Place the brown sugar into a zip-top bag, add the bacon-wrapped sausages, and gently shake to coat.
- Arrange on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, optionally sprinkling leftover brown sugar and black pepper on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
- For an extra crispy finish, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
