- 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (dairy or nut milk alternative)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Layer the torn croissant pieces in the greased dish and sprinkle blueberries over them.
- Dollop softened cream cheese over the croissants and blueberries.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
- Let the casserole sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb the custard.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
- Serve warm, optionally drizzled with blueberry sauce.
