- 1 lb. lean ground beef (96/4)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1/3 cup light mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup dill pickles (chopped)
- 1.5 Tbsp. pickle juice
- 8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped white onion, red onion, and tomato for topping
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, spray with nonstick spray. Add ground beef and chopped onions, cooking until the beef is fully browned.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and yellow mustard. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together light mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped pickles, and pickle juice until the mixture is smooth.
- Start with a base of shredded iceberg lettuce, then layer on the beef mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onions, tomatoes, and extra pickles as desired.
Notes
Use lean beef for a lighter dish. Mix up toppings according to your preferences.
