Ingredients

- 1 lb. lean ground beef (96/4)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1/3 cup light mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup dill pickles (chopped)
- 1.5 Tbsp. pickle juice
- 8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped white onion
- Chopped red onion
- Chopped tomato
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, spray with nonstick spray.
- Add the lean ground beef and chopped onions, cooking until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and yellow mustard. Let it simmer briefly.
- While the beef cooks, prepare the sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped pickles, and pickle juice in a bowl until smooth.
- To assemble, layer the shredded iceberg lettuce at the bottom of a bowl. Top with the beef mixture and add your choice of toppings like cheese, chopped onions, tomatoes, and extra pickles.
Notes
Best served fresh and warm. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
