Homemade Italian Meatballs

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Meat-based

Description

Juicy and savory homemade Italian meatballs combining the rich taste of ground beef and pork, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix everything until well combined, then shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and beautifully browned.
  6. Serve with marinara sauce over pasta, in a sub, or enjoy as delectable appetizers.

Notes

For best results, use a mix of lean and fatty meat to enhance juiciness. Let the meat mixture rest for 10 minutes before forming meatballs.
