Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the caramelized onions and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  5. Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and mix until coated.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle crispy fried onions on top, and bake again for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
