- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup caramelized onions
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the caramelized onions and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and mix until coated.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle crispy fried onions on top, and bake again for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
