A delicious and healthy treat combining bananas, oats, and nut butter for a satisfying snack any time of day.
Ingredients

- 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
- ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or your favorite)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until well incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and flatten it into an even layer.
- Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center appears set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out and cutting them into squares.
Notes
For a nut-free version, replace nut butter with sunflower seed butter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen for 2-3 months.
