Ingredients
- Pappardelle pasta

- Onion, finely chopped
- Carrot, finely chopped
- Celery, finely chopped
- Garlic, minced
- Tomato paste
- Canned tomatoes
- Red wine
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Italian herbs (e.g., thyme, oregano)
- Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Incorporate the ground meat into the pan, cooking until it’s nicely browned.
- Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook for a few minutes to deepen the flavor.
- Add canned tomatoes and red wine. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Let the sauce simmer on low heat for at least 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook the pappardelle pasta according to package instructions.
- Drain the pasta and mix it with the sauce, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
