Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Incorporate the ground meat into the pan, cooking until it’s nicely browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook for a few minutes to deepen the flavor.
  5. Add canned tomatoes and red wine. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs.
  6. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for at least 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Cook the pappardelle pasta according to package instructions.
  8. Drain the pasta and mix it with the sauce, ensuring it’s well coated.
