Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and eggs together until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples using a spatula.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C).
  6. Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fritters from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
