- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and melted butter. Stir in the apples and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
Use fresh apples for the best flavor. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
