Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped apples, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping and sprinkle half over the batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Swirl the batter with a knife to create a beautiful marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Once cooled, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze, then drizzle it over the bread.
  12. Slice and enjoy this delightful treat!
