Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour and baking powder; whisk until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, maple syrup, and melted butter or coconut oil until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix gently with a spatula until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Fold in your choice of add-ins (chocolate chips, berries, lemon zest) gently until evenly distributed.
- Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, portion the dough into rounded mounds on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the scones are lightly golden and set through.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
