Description

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour and baking powder; whisk until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, maple syrup, and melted butter or coconut oil until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix gently with a spatula until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  5. Fold in your choice of add-ins (chocolate chips, berries, lemon zest) gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, portion the dough into rounded mounds on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the scones are lightly golden and set through.
  8. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
