Description
Deliciously crispy and chewy Air Fryer Pretzel Bites, perfect for snacks or parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup warm water (between 110°F to 115°F)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking soda (for boiling)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- In a bowl, stir together warm water, sugar, and salt. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add the flour to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth.
- Break off small pieces of dough and shape them into bite-sized balls.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and add baking soda. Drop the pretzel bites in for about 30 seconds, then remove and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the bites with the beaten egg and sprinkle on coarse sea salt for flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the pretzel bites in the basket without overcrowding them. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the bites to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These pretzel bites can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer for a fresh taste.
