Description

A delightful twist on a classic favorite, this Air Fryer Orange Chicken features succulent chicken marinated in a tangy orange sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, and honey until well combined.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and toss them in the marinade. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until the chicken is cooked through and slightly crispy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  7. Serve the orange chicken over a bed of cooked rice.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade. Best served with fluffy rice and steamed vegetables.
