Description

Crispy and flavorful air fryer fried pickles, a healthier alternative to traditional frying, perfect for snacking or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dill pickles (sliced into spears or rounds)
  • Cornmeal
  • All-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the dill pickles into your desired shape—spears or rounds.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper to make the coating.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
  4. Dip each pickle slice first into the eggs, then coat with the cornmeal mixture, and finish by rolling them in breadcrumbs.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray and lay out the coated pickles in a single layer.
  7. Lightly spray the tops of the pickles with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For gluten-free options, use almond flour instead of regular flour. You can freeze coated pickles before air frying for extra crunch.
