- 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds (about 18–20 slices)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
- 3 large fresh mozzarella slices (or mozzarella log)
- 1–2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil leaves (1 per bite)
- ¼ cup balsamic glaze
- 4–5 black olives, finely chopped for ghost faces
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 8–10 minutes until golden.
- Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter (or knife) to cut mozzarella into ghost shapes. Make eyes with a straw or small knife.
- Place a basil leaf and tomato slice on each crostini.
- Top with a mozzarella ghost. Let edges drape slightly for effect.
- Add tiny olive pieces for eyes and mouths.
- Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.
