- 1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch to create a smooth sauce.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger; cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring gently until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh green onions.
Notes
For a plant-based option, substitute chicken with tofu. Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa with steamed vegetables.
