Enjoy delicious and nutritious homemade fruit roll-ups made with just three simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- Fresh or frozen fruit (4–6 cups or 600–700 g)
- Honey (4–6 Tbsp)
- Lemon juice (4 Tbsp or approximately 60 mL)
Instructions
- Prep the fruit: Wash, peel, and chop your fruit if necessary. Blend until smooth.
- Sweeten and balance: Add honey and lemon juice to the purée, then blend again to combine.
- Cook it down: Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and simmer over low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring often, until it thickens slightly.
- Spread and bake: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats. Spread the fruit mixture evenly on each sheet to about 1/8-inch thick.
- Dry it out: Bake at 170°F (75°C) for 4–6 hours, or until the surface is no longer tacky.
- Cool and roll: Let the roll-ups cool completely. Cut into strips and roll them up with the parchment paper.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding spices or mixing different fruits. Store in an airtight container for up to a week and freeze for longer storage.
